Beat the Clock

The clock is ticking, Tick Tock. We hurry and scurry, Tick Tock. Got to make money, Tick Tock, Get the job done, Tick Tock. Got to get that holiday Tick Tock. Need more money, Tick Tock. No time to stop, Tick Tock. Have to keep earning, Tick Tock. Can't let them down, Tick Tock. They need me, Tick.........! No one ever beats the clock. © Dave Timperley 02 May 2017.

Great poem , time passes so quickly, too many of us get caught up in the rat race and before we know it the clock has stopped. Love the last line Dave.

we all have the same exit Elizabeth but sometimes we can extend the journey. I dumped my watch in 2008 after nearly 60 years of watching the clock. No more ! God Bless. D.
