Bear Feet -Not Bare-

I can't bare my feet with fur
I can't stand the grizzly inside

Big and tall
I got claws

Angry
At the world

Shoeless,
Feet (not foot) prints,

Naked
Through the wood
I bare (not bear) dark fur

Stomping trees, with my
Bear Feet (not bare)

A silent RoaR

The way you create irony through the juxtapositions of your play on words is brilliant!

I can see different sides of this poem, which makes me think it is not meant to be as 'light' as first one reads. you have given us more to think about :) Ps......what a great surprise to find that you placed my Blitz poem so high in your contest! I'm honored, and pleased that you liked it enough. It was a fun poem to write !! Thank You !!

Chase, I feel the anxiety in your words. And I want to thank you for my placement in your Open Sea Contest, thank you.

I'm criticized on the word bear and bare a lot. This was a funny idea. I enjoyed comparing it to anxiety

such powerful imagery Chase - I like the clever word play can relate to this with my son - teenage years are hard for us all to bear/bare! Hugs Jan xx

oh, so I see you were describing anxiety. My husband suffers from that. But he is not poetic to describe it to me like you do!
