I was raised on beans and cornbread Sara. These pintos were the favorite in the south during the time when I was a child.The closest thing to a perfect food there is.Excellent topic for the Fibonacci form poem. Agape, Moses

Sara, thanks so much for telling me about the oatmeal alternative. I much prefer grains and other fiber-rich foods to beans. This could be very helpful in lowering cholesterol. I really appreciate the information. Love, Carolyn

Didn't know beans stabilize blood glucose, Sara. Very educational and well penned poem! (Don't like beans myself, but would force myself to eat them if they lowered cholesterol. I don't have a problem blood sugar.) Love, Carolyn

I love beans, but they don't love me. I swell up like a beach ball after a good plate of any kind of beans. I'll have to tell my wife about "helps to stabilize blood glucose." She is fanatic about healthful eating. Love, Dave
