Beach Badges
The sunny New Jersey shore is within my reach.
However, I will need a badge to get on the beach.
They sell season passes down at City Hall.
Everybody around here is ready to answer the call.
There’s one item that people won’t consider fine:
The town has imposed a Memorial Day deadline.
After that, only daily passes can be bought.
The high prices of these leaves many distraught.
It’s a well-enforced ordinance around this place.
Folks from other parts of the country call it a disgrace.
That’s what it takes to enjoy the surf and the sand.
Out of state guests say this is an unreasonable demand.
