~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He stills the moments, as my heart rests
Soothed, comforted, blessed
He colors my dreams, my hopes, my prayers
In springtime joy, summer beauty
Autumn’s spice and wintery delight
He balances the music of my life
Healing, easing, stirring
A breathless wind, in the shadows of the night
Where the darkness clings to the last fading of light
He whispers peace through my spirit,
Silencing my fears, mopping up my tears,
Gentling the feelings who burn through the years
Reflecting impressions that blaze like glistening stars,
Brilliant, glowing, destroying the muddled with solace
He listens when my prayers are selfless
And when they are selfish too
He is kind like the greatest love, the best gestures
As if His purpose were to settle my doubts,
Destroy my dread and make a way through the regrets
Make a way through shame, grief and fiercest distress
He knows me way better than I know myself
He sees through my wants, to my needs
Casts out the greediness for a generosity that believes
He lets me – even when my flaws are showing
So that when the time comes, He can forgive me
For all those sins and failures that keep me from growing
He sees through my strength, to the weakness
He sees past the smile, to the wounds
He sees beyond the faintest bleakness, to that spark of hope
He sees the stirrings of grace, covering my hurts
He sees the way to make everything turn out ok
He sees the me who still prays… Jesus, please help me…
When I can’t pray those powerful prayers,
The ones where my words seem suitable and sure,
The ones where my heart is poured out for His encouragement
The ones where my soul seems to just know
What to say, how to pray, come what may….
When I just can’t pray, I can still say… Jesus, please help me…
Until I can find my way, until I know the prayer to pray,
Until Your love has calmed with the faith that will remain
Because You are the reason that, whatever the season,
I know that I can sincerely say – You are the living grace,
You are the solution to my every challenge
You are the wonder within every wonderful thing.
You are the courage that leads me to take a chance.
You are the love that lives in this heart that You made!
Thank You, Jesus… for the grace, the faith that saves!
