Be Still

Be Still

Be still it says
Be still it says
Commandment
Clear and plain
But how in a busy world
Can I be still
Just like God says?
With things to do
In every place
And folk to meet
And always more
A whirlwind race
No end in sight
No time to stop
And nothing do
Be still and rush no more.
Command is there
I can’t deny
So help me, God,
To do just that
Each day sometime
To be quite still
And think of you
Your glorious power
Your precious grace
In Jesus
Just be still
And know you more.

“Be still, and know that I am God.” Psalm 46:10
