Be Nicer To Myself Today

Light a candle.
Relax.
Carve out ME time.
Write poetry.
Find opportunities to meditate.

Treat my body like a temple.
Make myself prettier.
Play music.
Learn Tai Chi.
Seek out like-minded people.

Go on a selfie date.
Draw in my Inner Child book.
Play Play Play.
Soak in the sun.
Go out on a photo shoot.

Hang out with people who “get” me.
Treat myself to the expensive fruits & veggies.
Pamper myself with home mani-pedi’s.
Exercise, stretch, do yoga, do weights, dance.
Create.

Ask for help when I need it.

Line, congratulations on your win in my contest, I really like your poem, not sure it is really free verse, reading more like List but none the less, a wonderful write.

Thank you for accepting my freestyled poem - this "list" is music to my soul. Thanks for understanding.

It seems I get to read one of the best last. We really should treat ourselves better. I love the simplicity of this piece and the deeper meaning within the easy feel of it.

Thanks, Patricia. So many woman (I guess people in general) don't ever think to ask for help... From one extreme to the other.
