Being Cool
Being Cool
Waves surge amidst a zest for life inland,
It recedes, repeats to refreshed again,
I'm caught in what we call a tidal pool,
For those trapped for their safety to be cool.
Now that's thoughtful for the not-middle-aged,
Draws on the young with minds to be engaged,
Of mobile carts and young hearts to a race,
Ahead of me, they turn to see no chase.
What ado, of one who's true, that attracts,
Sadly, those half my true age, that who lacks,
When said what's needed, is then repeated,
Was paid, at home, I learned, I was cheated.
To resolve, took time, of an err, not mines,
A sequence of line's, well past deadlines,
Passed disfavorably, at my expense,
One oblivious--smiled, 'perfect sense'.
