Barefoot Writer Indeed

I saw me an ad on my home page
It's one I just couldn't resist 
"Become a Barefoot Writer"
And join the chart topping list
What a way to make a living
Just throw a few words on a page
Soon I'd be swimming in money
And Hailed as some modern sage
So I clicked, and I read testimonies
Boy, these guys sure had it made  
One guy said "No Bologna" 
He took off a year and  got paid
But there's one thing that makes me wonder
I admit, it has made me confused
If these writers can make so much money
Why can't they afford to buy shoes
