 Anaya's Banned Book Club

is a haven for literary rebels and courageous readers who dare to explore the pages that others have sought to suppress. In a dimly lit corner of a quaint bookstore, Anaya curates a collection of works that have faced censorship, controversy, and condemnation. From classics like "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "1984" to contemporary novels challenging societal norms, the club thrives on the power of the written word to provoke thought and stir debate. Each meeting is a journey through forbidden narratives, where members discuss the impact and relevance of these books in today's world, fostering a community united by a shared love for the freedom of expression.

I don't understand book banning to be honest. Personally, there are a lot of books I would never read (Harry Potter for example) but I wouldn't begin to tell someone else what they should or shouldn't. I remember this movie, though never saw it. Nice poetic synopsis

There you are. Always nice to read your cheerful words, especially since I'm in a funk, but you wouldn't be interested in politics, I know!! Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, compelling! Your opinion today is valued, in an upside-down world, banning classics would make sense. Ty

Anaya, I love what you are doing and say bring it. The banners are afraid that we will see ourselves and our situation in these books. This could make us unhappy with our current state of affairs. There are some remarkable tales of suffering and deceit, which can teach so much as well as just entertain. Smiles!!

TY so true, they are afraid of life itself, my poet friend. ~smiling back. Thank you for stopping in to support gross book banning, your intellect is appreciated here.

Anaya, this reminds me of Gilbert and Sullivan verse "Things are never what they seem, skin milk masquerades as cream". Does anyone ever really know anybody? even strangers to ourselves. Good job on today's meeting. Robert

Delighted you joined in with a most interesting perspective. What we do know, is that it's such a shame the banning of books. Stay well, Robby~

Abdullah, it's interesting that you expressed thoughts on old and new, I was testing out today's newer subgenre Y/A. Time will only tell of a classic in the making. I think I lost my train of thought, lol. Ty for commenting, always a pleasure to hear from you ~hugs
