Notes About The Poem

Bandit the Cat

I love to sit on the settee
And surf the channels on tv
With no apparent skills
Don’t have to pay the bills
Yet I get pampered, you’ll agree!

I have my highs, I have my lows
My whereabouts I don’t disclose
A sucker for romance
Maybe I’ll take a chance
One day to Julie I’ll propose!

If you look deep into my eyes
You’ll see I’m Batman in disguise
I rush to people’s aid
For justice my crusade
Do I deserve a Nobel Prize?

This is so great!...glad I picked this one to read on my quick trip through the soup!...You know funny thing...I had a cat years ago who would sit on our old push button cable box and shift her back feet until they hit the buttons just right to change the channel! Have great day Paul :)

Indeed the Poet deserves a Nobel prize dear Paul - for exposing the duplicity of our feline friends - a syndrome that exists in all parts of the world - whether they have TV or not - :) - An excellent personification - Has he won Julie's heart? Bet he is so discreet by nature he won't say. A cute poem worthy of top honors in the contest - A Fave...Maria
