Bananas and Sugar

Bananas and sugar

White birds fly above my head and I hear you calling me
I don’t care what my mother said I just want to be free
The black soonest turns to red and a light shines let it be
Creatures roam my clouded head and they all look purple are we
Yellow buttercups in pretty fields shy’s my child’s fragile memory
Early morning all is fresh and a warm kind scented breeze
I’ve got to reach someone a bearded man who lives amongst the trees
He tells me of the woods twisted tales and the tools he makes from brown branches with some orange leaves
We reach a clearing and sit in silence as the warm embrace makes us smile and he makes a cup of tea
I fall asleep to dream of when the frog came to see me and we talked for hours about the time we ate bananas with sugar on then we were chased away by bees
I awoke suddenly and it was raining and the bearded man had gone but he left a banana on the floor so I picked it up and ran home to mum.

Nice imagery, you've captured a dream! Above my understanding, but a poem's a mirror for the poet. Your example, I'll try for, but can I emulate? T.S. Eliot said "I hear the mermaids sing, but I doubt they'll sing for me" - or something like that.

Let the imagery come into your consciousness.
