Ballerina Statues
Written for Matgorzata Chodakowka’s Sculptures
Of the three
Bronze statues
Elfin like ballerinas
Rise
Elegantly poised
Atop tip toes
Ribbon tied pointe slippers
Adorn dainty feet
Bronzed skin
Gently stroked
By the sun
Glistens
While perfectly placed
Fountains
Spill sparkling water
From minute midriffs
Exquisite arches
Therein fashion
Gossamer
Ruffled tutus
Gowns of water
Cascading
Full length
Caress the ground
An ethereal mist
Created such
Visible hence
A tangle of sculpted legs
Gracefully mesmerising
Pleats of water enthrall
Illusioning a fairy tale
Beguiling all
