Life’s tough, yet love’s a part of it,
and it ensures balance is kept.
But, the scale tips ominously,
when you add the weight of tears wept.
Lovers in a duality
share tears and dreams every night.
And fear morphs into a shadow
that quickly disappears from sight.
Time heals hurting hearts like magic,
dissolving doubts till none survive.
And trust realigns confused thoughts,
helping fantasies stay alive.
The pursuit of happiness has
unavoidable side effects.
For the emotion of love takes
your soul places the heart protects.
Purging anguish from memories,
love erases any regret.
And resuscitates dying dreams,
excluding those you should forget.
