We have a Red Tick American Coon Hound named Scout. You would think we never fed him the way he is always getting into to things looking for something edible. He tears open my lunch bag from work to see if I left anything.Today I made lasagnia. Got one serving and when I went into the kitchen the empty foil pan I used was on the floor and a mess of red stain on the floor where he gobbled up what spilled when he pulled it off the stove top. I showed it to him and said,"What did you do?" He just kept looking the other way as if to say What? Who? Me?
A very bad dog is our Scout.
Especially if food is left out.
If it's there he don't care,
Neither what, when nor where,
It soon finds it's way to his mouth.
He waits until no one is looking.
His keen nose can tell what you're cooking.
He makes sneak attacks,
When you turn your back,
Then pretends all the while he was snoozing.
