Backyard

BACKYARD Quazi Johirul Islam Backyard birch has bloomed a green umbrella Two white doves peeping from mid branch above Gray squirrel searches land to seedling love A red handkerchief spoils the glabella. Bullnose stones offered her cold and hard lap Wind strokes the lush hair of mid-august-land Golden finch flew, fallen feathers will stand. Someone walks, wood diverged creating gap. The falling sun kisses the floating dust Between the patio-bricks smiles green moss To uproot them lady draws cruel cross Old man watches wash, and his anger burst Three-years granddaughter appeared from sunset She walks and falls, runs again, ignores threat.
