Back On the Rise

Here is something I can see with my own eyes: Prices of petrol are back on the rise. If we go to the pumps to buy gasoline, we can expect to fork over a little more green. Demand is going up and supply is headed down. That's the same situation in almost every town. I don't own a car, and I don't care. As a pedestrian, I can go anywhere.

Ha, ha! Good for you! Let the prices rise, eh, Robert?! You can spout Alfred E. Newman mantra -- 'What-me-Worry?! lol. Nicely stated here. ~ gw

nicely said, robert! the price of gas doesn't really bother me now because we're doing so much less driving than usual, but i much prefer walking if where i'm heading is in walking distance...

A wise decision my friend. I have found I really do need my truck. "Big Red" as I call him comes in handy and can take me anywhere I need to go. But as you say "his food" costs a pretty penny. A fine write Robert. God Bless, JB PS Please check out my newest post. I think you would do well writing this type of poetry.

Good thinking Robert. Footpower beats horsepower any day. I enjoyed reading your poem, but I don't enjoy filling up!

Owning a car can be a real inconvenience if you live in a large city where it's easier to take the bus or subway. Gas prices do seem to be rising -- about 60 cents more per gallon than last year at this time. We'll probably all be driving electric cars in the not-too-distant future. A thought provoking poem, Robert! Best wishes, Carolyn
