Baby Balloon
Baby balloon was tired of her attachments
So she let go of her string and started floating down the street
Bouncing every once in a while, blown here and there by the wind
Baby balloon was too small to float away like some of her family had already done
As they escaped the tethers, only to fly too far and blow up
As the air expanded them toward the sun
Baby balloon didn't have as much air
So she bounced gently against the road until she came against a fence
The fence didn't pose any threat as she bounced sneakily
Underneath the steel prongs that lined its underside
Baby balloon was flexible, with just enough air to bounce further along
Down the hill across the waving grass that fluttered gently in the wind
Losing sight of baby balloon I wondered where she went
I wondered if she made it home.
