Axed Ajar
AXED AJAR
when the sky comes down
where will your peace be
when the ground trembles
will you stand beside me
pause with bated breath
calm before the storm
we’ve been waiting for
blood red days at dawn
as mortal battle starts
in hearts of darkness
where war fires flare
amidst arid starkness
without grim warning
the sun will turn black
sick earth axed ajar
with explosive crack
in darkest corners
we will hunt down squares
of sacred holy ground
asking ourselves this:
is it too late for
prayers?
as deaths sickly face
appears at the door
something like this….
