Awaking from Stupor

Awaking from Stupor 1-16-24 It's not desire per say but the clinging That stifles soul and stops heart from singing Enlivening silence sets our souls free Vibrant in the now, joyful and carefree. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Awaking from Stupor Winter haze beats upon the door, Drunken dreams cling to bitter cherries of midnight, Before night sashays into white flurries of dawn When dull eyes wrestle out of binding yesterdays, And pink-purple pussywillow hallucinations, Provoked Awakened to dream Throwing off phantoms of eiderdown illusions, Dawning redeemed from the clutch of midnight shrouds, Nascent emerges sipping sweet soul sunrises Coaxed from aromas of grace, From holographic hollow mazes, While pale sleepwalking staggers into real Returning with a rosy heartbeat flush To leave in shadows lethargy of ragged pastels Numb shades to retreat like useless ghosts And cower in new auroras of primed breathless light, Neon insights flash electric incentive, Sparks ignite fertile tinder stored in silence, Sentient eyes step into the womb reserved For every new second purified In percolation of harmonic animas – Conscious and unconscious Awake emergent - Bliss consummated!

A most descriptive write Sam..Which means it Conveys a lot (i am musing with that remark) Just recalibrating my thought process? Hmm so What has just hit me, is the realisation of How much we can't convey; in words.' Id say That is part of appreciating how rich piece this is.' In That it highlights the more desired state we Need to be in!

Dearest Sam, your poem about the transformative power of the dawn, represents a new beginning and a fresh start. You used rich and evocative language to convey the imagery of the winter haze, drunken dreams, bitter cherries, white flurries, and pink-purple pussywillow hallucinations. Your words are carefully chosen to create a dreamlike and surreal atmosphere, drawing the reader into the sensory experience of this wonderful poem. Best wishes for the contest.

Winter though beautiful makes our moods a little dull. To come out of it with new hopes and a purified heart is so challenging. But when we are able to do it, harmonic animas are awakened in us. Finally we reach a state of bliss consummated. It is in deep silence that we enjoy such heavenly moments and such bliss. Sorry, my connection got interrupted before I could finish my comment. I am a fan of your poems dear Sam with such lofty diction and striking metaphors. But I hardly get time to read or comment on your lovely poems, as I am a little too busy these days. Stay blessed dear one.

The imagery was fantastic and the poem, very engaging. The four-line intro verse was both wise and inspiring, Sam. Winter does seem to put many of us is a daze. To come out of it does seem like a state of bliss. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us through your lovely poetry, my friend. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

Your captivating poem eloquently captures the transformative journey from the depths of a winter night to the emergence of a new day, beautifully blending vivid imagery with profound introspection... I love how it culminates in the concept of bliss being consummated. This suggests the fulfillment and completeness of the transformative journey, a harmonious union of the self with the emerging light..

Dear samszy! Wow! What a profound write this is with deep metaphors and creative diction that truly stands out for me and i cant help but read it over and over again and be in awe! Of how you’ve used nature to deliver your thoughts on consciousness and correcting one’s thoughts and being in the moment to embrace all around and how it reaches ones mine deeply. I especially loved the ending in this. For bliss to be consummated one needs to connect and embrace silence on a soulful level: fave! BOL

Hi Inky! I am so honored by your fav! Thank you for that joy! I kept thinking about the ways winter puts us to sleep in many ways, the ways we often walk in a fog and how listening to silence wakes us up to new moments of blessing and bliss. Nature seemed the perfect framework for this awakening! I am so happy I got to share in those precious moments with you. Sending you gratitude and blessings!

Hi Paige! Thank you! So often we seem to walk in an unconscious state, in a blind stupor. What a joy to wake up and see clearly new possibilities. Hope you are well! Blessings of new visions and possibilities to you and my gratitude.
