Awake Arise
Fearsome is this realm of contrast,
where we struggle, mile after mile,
but what comes and goes, will not last;
waking up from stupor, we smile.
Approaching life’s end we recount
how narrow desires did defile
but now on Pegasus we mount,
waking up from stupor, we smile.
We are not who we think we are,
for vibrancy is our soul’s style
and seeing we’ve drifted afar,
waking up from stupor, we smile.
Dwelling in staid silence tranquil,
free from subterfuge and from guile,
when with God we unify will,
waking up from stupor, we smile.
