Ever wonder if someone You're talking to is actively Paying attention, or simply Watching your lips move? Imagine attempting to put things In perspective for someone impervious To common sense? Words go into The right ear and out of the left! You feel like you've wasted Your breath. So how do you Make sure you're being perfectly Understood word for word? Repetition is key; repeat yourself Ad-nauseum. Ask for repetition Of what you said to confirm He or she is indeed listening. Never make assumptions Ensure that you communicate directly; Not doing so could lead to Misunderstanding and conflict. Look for visual and auditory clues; The nodding of the head, the telling phrase "I understand." They're very helpful In averting miscommunication. Date written: 11/22/2019
