Autumn's Dance
Heaven delighted me with another day,
For my witness is my breath.
How I can see it move with misty background.
I daze to see what become of the season.
Air pocket found in the cool horizon.
I can feel the kiss playing with my hair.
My eyes find no trickery,
Colors yielding landmark green to orange-red.
Smiling thought; "Why not?"
I asked, "May I."
My feet planted firm upon this earth,
Yet not rooted.
I desire to be in the motion.
Arms forward,
Hands gripped to the invisible.
"Merciful God. May I request a song from above?"
"I only ask, for I dream a dance with autumn."
