Autumn's Change

The golden yellow’s russet reds
Rain down with Autumn's changing hue.
The bleak grey skies awash my dawn
Instead, I yearn for Summer’s blue.

Cool breezes blow throughout the day
The golden yellows russet reds.
Transition time of seasons bring
This change of Autumn's carpet beds.

Like Autumn leaves these words all fall
Then scatter wildly on the page.
The golden yellows russet reds
Remain, and like this poem age.

When night has turned into my day
Will autumn colours stay instead.
Or will they wither, blow away?
The golden yellows, russet reds.

Themes of transitions and aging painted with soft and beautiful imagery. I love the golden yellows and russet reds. My favorite line is "This change of Autumn's carpet beds."
