an autumn wind blows
wet, cold, whipping, stripping leaves....
phoebe returns home
winter won't be easy here
prediction, a cold winter

Interesting looking nest, Sara. I haven't seen one quite like the one in the photo. I hope the birds are ready, I worry about the birds sometime. I feed and water them but can't tuck them in. :-) Nice Tanka poetry, my friend. Enjoy this little warm spell before winter hits us. Bill

Bill, they were here for the last to mating and nesting seasons but one came back to the nest the other day and then came back again but then I did not see him/her again so he/she must have gone farther south for the winter. Thanks for the visits. Sara K

SO, Well, where I live it is not a really bad winter unless we get snow(rare) or sleet(rare) or some really cold weather(rare but it does happen). It is probably going to be a wet one or at least a lot of clouds this year. Phoebe is the name of a bird species that comes around here. They made a mud dobbed nest and sometimes it contains some moss. Your visit added a different dimension to my page. Sara K

Oh, I don't know, but I was wondering about it showing up here and checking out its nest of last spring. I was wondering if it was coming in to use the nest when it gets colder this winter. Thanks for dropping by . Sara K

Eve, they say it is about normal here now, but we did have a freeze already in the month of October. I am glad that it warmed up a little from that early cold, but I know it will come again. Thanks for the visit and nice review of my work. Sara K
