Autumn Royal
Crimson and umber leaflets veil the earth,
Summer has come and gone without warning.
Mother nature has surely given birth
to crisp fire nights and burnt amber mornings.
Oh, Autumn is here, it’s so heartwarming.
Cinnamon caramel apples for me,
now it’s time for a cup of ginger tea.
Saffron skies float over the rising sun,
the east is full of grand medallion lights-
My daughter jumping in the leaves for fun,
then roasting marshmallows on chilly nights.
Oh, Autumn is here with such charming sights.
Pumpkin pie is made my grandma’s frail hands,
traditions that family understands.
