Autumn Romance
Autumn Romance
She holds me up for ransom
just to see my pain.
Would she dare come back to me
and promise to remain?
She teases me with cooler winds
although her breath is hot
I beg her to remain with me-
she’s always in my thoughts.
Slowly, she embraces me
a love so ever strange
bursting out in colors bright
bringing forth great change.
And though she stays for quite a while,
we both know she will part
though winter, summer, spring appears
Autumn’s in my heart.
