Autumn flavors abound today
Pumpkins, vibrant colors so gay
Awakening dreams that had passed
Lovely thoughts, soft prayers to pray
Autumn joy, alive and forecast
Whispers of hope will surely last
Warming the soul with silent peace
Capturing hearts, light and steadfast
Autumn harvest, a centerpiece
Freeing leaves of deepest cerise
Filling minds with inspiring prose
Dark reflections that will not cease
Autumn psalms budding like a rose
Lingering on hearts who compose
Gentle songs felt by the broken
Who long for the kind friend who knows
Autumn vibrates in hues woken
By compassion so outspoken
Lifting the spirit to assure
Grace that abounds like a token
Autumn holds such a sweet allure
As the fields ripen and mature
Brightening lives with the promise
Of a season's bliss to endure
