Autumn came through darkness like thieves in the night Recalculated angle of sky's fireball Flung out a master canvas so, so bright Readjusted the thermostat to fall Touched the pumpkins just for Halloween fright He blew deadly white frost upon the pears Left them chilled ready to noisily splat As they land on rain drenched earth whose affairs Weigh it down, like so many bureaucrats Piled on a long winter's night putting on airs Just for fun!!! Beautiful poem. Though you say it is written for fun, it sounds a serious poem with great descriptions of the sudden changes autumn has brought in the weather!

This is an excellent poem, my dear sister of God's inspirational grace, Sara. I love the flow of the words and the impact of the message about "Autumn." The descriptive excellence is lovely. The theme of "Autumn's Radiance" stands out, and the tone and tenor move the piece down the page with much grace. Great job! Have a fantastic day, and stay enlightened with God's richest grace and blessings always. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/53812816-sincerely-speaking-spiritually.

I love Autumn. But I know it can be hard with its cold and rain (no snow in Mata). Lovey imagery. ~~

Victor, I would think that your weather is somewhat tropical? We only get snow here about every ten years or so but sometimes it will come several years in a row. I have a feeling this is going to be a cold winter. Thanks for dropping by. Sara
