leaves fall and settle a grim naked tree remains a sad skeleton the sun drops early surrenders to a full moon a dread foreboding a wee shy princess she, speechless, with arms outstretched lifts a candy bag

Thanks Andrea. I have to admit. Where I live now, Fall is not my favorite season. I prefer summer!

No trick or treaters since I live the rural life now. When I lived in civilization, I always decorated my house and encouraged trick or treaters to stop by. I even dressed up myself! I love Halloween!

It is a cute, endearing poem which is apparently consistent with the Halloween season.

Thanks Hilda, yes, but I in this retirement community there's no trick-or-treaters, unfortunately, so, no cute kids :-(

Thanks Karen! Oops I forgot to run the syllable counter, and it looks like I need to patch it up a bit. I also like the last one best.
