Autumn
                a chilling wave
          crunching melancholy
   nostalgic for summer warm heart
shrinking passions of deciduous souls
       perennial strain for blending
                 raking over losses
                     as we behold
                          Autumn
                          Autumn
                 rebirth and growth
             a carving golden Nature
 mother earth to ripe souls gives birth
       harmonious fall of mellow aura
         a promise of blooming roses
                the poets fascination
                       enrapturing
                          Autumn

You have honored autumn with this most beautiful poem Besma! It is my favorite season. Here in Hawaii we don't have many trees that turn color and lose their leaves but it means less humidity in our tropical weather and a welcome cooler temperature. I love everything about this poem. Your poem so beautifully beholds the charms and changes of Autumn and is wondrously metaphoric of life, my sweet friend. I love your imagery which so aptly captures the fall season and emotions; 'crunching melancholy' - reminds me of walking through fallen leaves or coming to terms with regrets as we grow older and 'raking over losses' of what has bloomed and now is in decline - so significant of the life cycle be it a tree in Autumn or someone in the Autumn of life. Your poem also speaks of rebirth, be it the seeds sown in Autumn for Spring or seeds sown in life for Eternal life.. I love this poem, Besma! I especially like the phrase "raking over losses"...not just the fallen leaves, but also the many gifts of summer which now slip into the shadows. Fortunately autumn is not all gloom and doom...far from it!! ~ Warm regards // paul
