Autumn
Windblown leaves in the heart of a forest
singing the glory of an Autumnal day
the crisp golden colors of her sweet array
make me want to bathe in her light
and dance in the meadows of her dream
As I cling to the earthen browns of an eve
I watch the sun give in to her sleep
she softly descends from a fading hill
with a yawning caress and a bless !
Magic moments of grandeur and awe
like the chirp of a stranded pardalote
a minty moment of life, oh mine eyes,
soaked to the cotton with shine
my lips give praise of her time
Windblown leaves turning and turning
dressed in the colors of a fire burning
I dance in the fortress of her season
lost in the alchemy of her reason
Autumn, I love YOU the best.
