Aurevoir Kiss
Undoubtedly the last beautiful sunny summer day
Hoped for yet so unexpected happy effervescence
No clouds in the sky gentlest breeze stirring the bouquet
Clinging to every last loving shred of benevolence
Everyone so aware this day is but an aurevoir
So much better than any shot of adrenaline
As the doddering sun remorsefully kisses our skin
Awake soaking in all that warm sunspun honey nectar
Seems birds butterflies and bees all astir
Hustle their one last dance before the snow
Though it may not fall upon us tomorrow
It lurks we all know just around that corner
Golden glow on ecstatic grinning silhouettes
Quivering translucent gold sprinkles on charades
Take heed moments of borrowed time when the sun sets
Gone the last summer whirl for fall crispness invades
