August

August morphs into a hot, humid sauna,
Ushering in the dog days of Summer's end.
Gladiolus, little swords, sway in the breeze,
Under the mid-day heat of a blazing sun.
Soon, the treetops will start flaunting Fall colors,
Transforming green into scarlet and orange.
