Assured
Assured with God’s precious eternal gift
Treasured so priceless by His love and mercy
Measured against my sinful filthiness
Ensured am I of His compassion’s fervency.
Heart rejoicing seeks the Lord ceaselessly
Part and every chamber delight in His love’s pack
Start of each beat comes from His breath
Dart hurled by woes, therefore, cannot attack.
Praise to the Almighty fills my soul
Grace He bestows I cherish with gratitude
Brace that anchors my faith* He upholds
Trace of doubts must succumb to His truth’s fortitude.
*Romans 5:1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
