Association of Chronic Bellyachers

When traveling a stretch of life's highway Does it feel like it's uphill both ways? Does it feel like winter's twelve months long? Do you work like a dog for small pay? Well welcome to a newly formed club The Association of Chronic Bellyachers We meet every Thursday at the crack of dawn We're a bunch of cranky “whine” makers No grins, guffaws, or laughter's allowed Could be thrown out on your rear We've a couple of burly guards at the door Wearing scowls from ear to ear So if there's really nothing that bugs you You ain't welcome at one of our meetings Especially if you're content with your life You could even end up with a beating We take this bellyaching seriously you know It's developed into a new kind of art The technique we've developed is really simple Happiness never invades our heart Now, if the real truth of the matter be known With tongue planted firmly in my cheek I'm really this sweet, kind hearted old codger Never gripes, never lets out a peep! © Jack Ellison 2013

... does the association have an opening available?? LOL... kidding! But honestly speaking I could work on not complaining as much as I do... I don't wanna end up in Grumps-R-Us or Whippersnapper-Rehab.... OOohh I do believe I'm having too much fun with this... but that's your motto, right?

I have discovered, if nothing else, that the old axiom, "life's short so make the most of it" is so so true! YUP! That's my motto!

I'm a Championship Belly Acher... When I get on a roll the room vacates... So had to stop... It's no fun if there's no one to listen... LOL... People come to a smile... they run from others problems... Can't blame them... I'd run from mine if I could, too...

Bellyaching is a useless endeavour! It changes nothing and only causes you angst... best to just cruise along and NEVER watch the six o'clock news!

I believe you with that last stanza my friend, I believe that's the way you are! You are a kindhearted man, a man with a loving personality, and one that does rarely gripe about life! Don't get me wrong, we all gripe about something in life, but I can just see you doing fewer griping than most! Your write is hilarious Jack! I really enjoyed reading this fine poem this morning! What a masterful piece, a wondrous creation, Great Work!!

You're right... we all gripe about something! We wouldn't be human if we didn't. It's part of being homo sapien! You are extremely kind my dear sir!
