You watched in silence When the flame succumbed to death Now you expect the ashes to re-ignite And once again, warm your hearth of faith. How does it feel like? To not be able to look at the eyes Eyes of them, who loved every crater of your soul. Blurred with trust, smiling all along. The works of your decaying bosom, The wandering eyes, Managed to shatter effortlessly The heart of them who paid all the price. Now you stand afar Watching them in silence Guilt run through your veins, answers to false promises never settled. You watched a flame die in pain. But now you expect the ashes to re-ignite again...
