As We Know It
"as we know it"
while sleeping you come before me
although you lie next to me
somehow the image of you appears
the dream showcases life as we know it
with all the grace and light of love
while awake you stand before me
although this time face to face
somehow this vision is tangible
such reality exposes what we recognize
with the beauty of sparkle and passion
appear in my dreams as you
stand before me as us
forevermore
