Two triolets linked together by three flanking haiku.
the days get shorter
as summer gives way to fall
change is in the air
As leaves descend from limbs above
of crimson red and amber gold,
they blanket ground with nature’s love.
As leaves descend from limbs above,
through crisp air wings a mourning dove,
and makes her way through fall’s unfold
as leaves descend from limbs above
of crimson red and amber gold.
as sun descends and
daylight gives way to darkness
an impending chill
With shadows long and daylight sighs,
the autumn night is thus foretold
as harvest moon is on the rise.
With shadows long and daylight sighs
a time to gaze into her eyes,
and seek the warmth within her hold.
With shadows long and daylight sighs,
the autumn night is thus foretold.
as darkness surrounds
lovers cling to each other
seeking warmth forever
