As I Walk In Your Shoes
When I put your shoes on
My feet are wet and cold, you are homeless
When I put your shoes on
My feet hurt, you are in so much pain
When I put your shoes on
My feet are heavy, you have so much responsibility
When I put your shoes on
My feet drag, you don’t want to live another day
When I put your shoes on
My feet are tired, you have worked 20 hours straight
When I put your shoes on
My feet are bruised, you have been beaten
When I put your shoes on
My feet are loved, by another woman
When I put your shoes on
My feet are bound, you have been taken
When I put your shoes on
My feet are scared, you are being bullied
When I put your shoes on
My feet are drugged, you are addicted
When I put your shoes on
My feet just are, I don’t know what colour your skin is
