As I Look Down

As I look down this path
Far from any one
As I inhale cold thin air
As I bow a little and look down waiting to run

I sprint! As fast as the wind can take me
As quick as the wind can pull me

Beating hooves next to me…
Clawed paws stalk behind me…
Running warriors on the other side of me…
The eagle flies above me…
Then I out run them all…

Immense padded paws
And moon like eyes overcome me...
The wind is gone as am I…
