As He Is.

From ash and ruble he crawls to stand,
the worrier...the titan...the Aztec...one man
a fool to many relentless to life's burdens,
they see what he is not... they see another in the ruins
experience in his hands time in his eyes,
no one knows no one can see the wrinkles that lie,
Life's foe since the day he was born,
rains companion as his heart was torn,
tiered of what they see of what they do,
his eyes see knowing ...who now plays the fool?
he is as he knows..he is and it doesn't show ,
the face paint you can not see,
life's tattoos you think they can not be,
a mask of who they know,
underneath he who is bestowed.
