As August ends, leaves curl on trees,
while shades of greens fade in degrees,
and tints of brown soon catch our eye;
we know September days are nigh.
The summer stirs a cooler breeze-
as August ends, leaves curl on trees,
and worn landscapes give up the glow
when brilliant scenes of Autumn show.
Cool crispness comes to fill the air
progressing well with Autumn's flair-
As August ends, leaves curl on trees
soon wearing reds and golds with ease.
Aromas from the orchards loom
replacing scents of Summer bloom-
and Autumn magic will appease-
as August ends, leaves curl on trees.
