As a Night Owl

Lonesome these timed hours ...rustling low
That my wings flit in a parade,
Enchanting this child, and he smiles
Across moonlit lawns, unafraid.
Darkness reminds me to find joy
As I perch for morning's rest,
To gather strength,a new night's oath
Unfolding... relishing life's best.
