As a man, you would not undestand

I asked my wife, what is the purpose of the married life,
She answered philosophically, "The goal is to turn Mr. Wrong into Mr. Right".

I asked my wife, why you need so many dresses,
You only wear them once and hang them in antiquity,
It is not the dress, but what goes in the dress, defines the beauty,
Her answer, "As a man, you would not understand".

I wondered why it takes you so long to get dressed for a party,
If you had only a few dresses, you would not be so confused,
Why get color coordinated, men can spot the beauty even in rags,
She replied, "As a man, you would not understand".

When I ask my wife a question, I often wonder,
Should I ask in a positive or a negative sense,
I am afraid the answer will be opposite of what I say,
As a man, I agree, I do not undestand.

This poem is a playful peek into the mysteries of married life—equal parts puzzled husband and philosophical wife. The refrain adds charm, and the humor is gentle enough to keep the peace at dinner. A fun, relatable read with a wink.

Fun read, Jay. We must learn to assimilate / relate, the understanding of a women is not for man to contemplate. The same is true of a women trying to understand a man. the difference is that many women actually think they understand all men because they think they understand one. Go figure. Bill

It's funny to me how your wife answers. I always give specific answers! I would tell her on first answer: a tiger doesn't change its stripes!
