Around the Garden

Around the Garden ( series) Ole’Leander Why don’t you bloom? I’ve nurtured you, I’ve sung you tunes. I’m waiting long, your color to see, you were a gift, from Him to Me. He has since left, no love has bloomed I hope that you have not been doomed.

So sad and beautiful at the same time... my Mom, the gardner, used to say, you must pick the flowers to get blooms next year... not sure if that is true.. but I can remember vases and vases of lavender.. and still plenty on the tree... maybe not the same kind of tree, as your tree however... love Constance

Jeralynn, (I enjoyed this one, too! Smiles.) Did you know that Ole'Leander blooms appear on the previous years growth just as azelias do. So, pruning at the wrong time can prevent the plant from blooming. Here is a link that I thought you might find helpful. http://oleander.org/culture.html Smiles, Dane Ann
