Armageddon

Life has changed we live in fear
Stay safe take care are all we here
The lockdown has started but when will it end
Will the system break or will it bend
Will this world ever be the same
Who’s to punish who’s to blame
Marshal law is now the rule
As the virus searches dark and cruel
Ones you care for and love so much
Are locked away denied our touch
The Streets are silent the laughter faded
Our first class lives are now downgraded
Distances, a thought in constant motion
Provokes alarm creates emotion
Relationships suppressed devoid
Programmed now to swerve avoid
survival and self preservation
Cover and Consume our nation
Armageddon holds its breath
fills its lungs with every death
Waiting in the wings of life
To make its entrance flail its strife
