Argument
Three in one
One in three
Intellect meets muddle in mystery
Of Omnipotent Glory
Withered before it
Flesh in dust before the Spirit
Seared by absurdity
Daring
Pitiable piousness
Preying on immaculate righteousness
With dripping altars of our fear.
How could man invent …
Something greater than his enlightenment?
How could he know …
Someone infinite to the wisdom of ego?
What is given
Is what is revealed
Dew drops from the mercy of heaven
My thoughts transparent
Before him
My desire unconcealed
Rush to meet him
I am the sparrow
An Icarus in the shadow of the hawk
Returning to my longing
The lost exodus
Of my beginning
Broken
Like an eagle’s wing
A few feathers of faith
Is all I have
To kneel me at the veil again.
