I Thought I Knew

I thought I knew. I know I thought about the diamond stars, the sweetness of the mead the Venus brews of fossil bees, the bout of poetry which strength pledged to exceed all prior ones. Alas, it’s true, my dear: I thought about anything but you. Oh, let me kiss this diamond of the tear on your sweet lips which taste I thought I knew. Wondrous verse my friend. Great rhyme with beauty and message sent.. As the baker fills the pie, so the cobbler nails the shoe. Both taketh pride in what they do... A fav.. watch the wildflowers grow....
