- Anxiety And Demons -

    With frayed emotions
    the whisperer in the night
    its paper-thin wings
    combating inner demons
    - release your anxiety

    Dejected psyche
    it's not a computer game
    prove the demons wrong
    deny their dark existence
    - quiet with your inner thoughts

Stress kills faster than demons, yes? Nicely done Anne-Lise. :)

Anne-Lise, great advice for those of us who worry. If the demons we have would lead us to do anything violent, we certainly want to quiet them. I can understand what you are saying, and I think many of us who have been hurt badly have demons to deal with. It takes exactly what you say...some time with inner thoughts, often with professional help, to beat back demons. I love the idea that we can deny their dark existence. They may always be there, but we can remove their influence. Smiles!!

Few folks understand negative forces for what they truly are. All negatives are entities. Which we have the innate power to simply cast out. Their winning game, to make us believe that we are helpless. Good one, Anne.

Very well composed tanka, Anne-Lise. I like the word: frayed emotions. Enjoyed reading, best wishes for the contest.
